The Schifferstadt Architectural Museum : The Schifferstadt Architectural Museum is located in a building that is one of the finest examples of German Colonial architecture in the United States. Built in 1756, the stone manor house and the gardens are open to public.

The Roger Brooke Taney House : Conveniently located within walking distance from downtown Frederick, The Roger Brooke Taney House is the former home of a prominent Frederick citizen.

The National Museum of Civil War Medicine : The National Museum of Civil War Medicine is dedicated to studying and interpreting the medical history of the war, and in turn educating the public about these discoveries. The museum features exhibits that focus on medical artifacts, books, manuscripts and other items from the Civil War, from the years 1861 through to 1865, including a replica of a medical officer's tent. Guided tours of the museum may be arranged.

The Frederick City Watershed Cooperative Wildlife Management Area : The Frederick City Watershed Cooperative Wildlife Management Area is composed of 7000 acres of forested land just west of Frederick, MD. Deer, squirrel and grouse hunting are popular activities at this park, as are trout and bass fishing.

Strider Wildlife Management Area : Designated a wildlife conservation area in 1949, the main attraction at the Strider WMA is the archery range. Offering several targets of varying distances and a 10-foot high tree stand, this range is good practice for archers who want to perfect their skills. No trails are maintained in this park, however there are some paths that serious hikers may attempt to navigate.

Rose Hill Manor Park and Children Museum : Depicting early American life, Rose Hill Manor Park & Children's Museum offers historic tours, living history demonstrations, a carriage museum, a farm museum and much more.

Indian Springs Wildlife Management Area : The Indian Springs Wildlife Management Area can be found about three miles north of Frederick, MD. Bow hunters will appreciate the archery deer hunting area, and firearm hunting is offered throughout this WMA.
